Irish Fest is hosting their annual 5k run/walk on August 20th, 2011.  One of the goals of the Harlequins is to build the team on and off the field. This is one event where we hope to get past and present team members (and their friends and families) together in a worthwhile event.

Last year was the first attempt at making our presence known at this event, with several participants representing various Harlequin teams from past and present.

This year's date shows no match scheduled, and we  would love to see everyone come out for a run/walk .  The cost is $30.  This includes a free t-shirt and free admission to the fest.  A portion of the proceeds goes to the Arthritis Foundation.

This is a great cause and a great way for us to show ourselves in the community.  On a lighter note, it is Irish Fest.  Lot's of mead, beer and whiskey in the jar. So all all you lads and lassies that want to let loose before the season kicks off this is a great way!
