As the top rugby program in the state, your Milwaukee West Side Harlequins are always looking to recruit new talent. But simply attracting skilled athletes is not a complete solution. Players new to the sport of rugby need to learn the laws of the game while those with rugby experience need time to adjust to our brand of expansive, intelligent rugby.

Thus, the Harlequins started a second team within its ranks to ensure that all active players had ample opportunity to hone their skills and catch the eyes of the selectors. The Quins are the only club in the Wisconsin with a second side competing in league matches.

Today was an excellent example of the progress this side, the ‘second fifteen’ as its called in rugby circles, has made. The Harlequins played an exhibition match against the Black & Blue (their Divisions 3 USA Rugby rivals) at the Milwaukee County Sports Complex with a 43-12 finish.
